Terms of Service
Last updated August 1, 2026
These terms cover your use of NerdBot. By using it, you agree to them. Questions? Email support@nerdbotai.com.
What NerdBot is
You are interacting with an artificial intelligence, not a human. NerdBot is an AI-powered study tool: chat with subject-specific AI bots, generate flashcards, quizzes, practice exams, and other study material, and track assignments and grades. It's a study aid, not a substitute for your teacher, textbook, or your own judgment — AI-generated answers and study materials can be wrong, and you're responsible for verifying anything you rely on, especially before turning it in as your own work. Follow your school's academic integrity policies.
Age requirement
NerdBot is intended for students in high school and above and is not directed at children under 13. By using NerdBot, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission to use NerdBot, including for any paid subscription. See our Privacy Policy for more on children's privacy.
Accounts
You can use NerdBot as a Guest (no account, data stays on your device) or sign in with Google or Apple to sync across devices. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for what happens under it. You must be old enough to use Google or Apple sign-in under their own respective terms.
Plans, payment, and auto-renewal
NerdBot offers a Free plan and a Premium plan, billed either weekly ($2.99/wk) or monthly ($6.99/mo) depending on which you choose at checkout. The exact price and billing period are shown before you complete checkout. Payments are processed by Apple through In-App Purchase; we never see or store your card details.
Premium automatically renews at the same price and billing period (weekly or monthly, whichever you chose) at the end of each period, until you cancel, and your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Canceling stops future billing but you keep Premium access through the end of the period you already paid for — it doesn't refund the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in your Apple ID account settings, and can also open Apple's subscription management from Settings within NerdBot.
Your content
You own what you upload or create in NerdBot (documents, photos, chats, generated study materials). We only use it to provide the product to you — generating AI responses, syncing your account, and remembering context within a class so the AI can personalize its help. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share, or content that's illegal, abusive, or violates someone else's rights.
Acceptable use
Don't use NerdBot to:
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, security controls, or subscription gating.
- Upload malware, or content that infringes someone else's copyright.
- Abuse, harass, or attempt to extract harmful content from the AI.
- Resell or redistribute access to the service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Our intellectual property
NerdBot's name, logo, branding, design, and underlying software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. Using NerdBot gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for its intended purpose — nothing here gives you any ownership of NerdBot itself, or the right to copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute it.
Copyright complaints (DMCA)
If you believe content on NerdBot infringes your copyright, email support@nerdbotai.com with: (1) a description of the copyrighted work, (2) the material you believe infringes it and where to find it, (3) your contact information, and (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized and that your notice is accurate, under penalty of perjury. We'll respond and remove infringing content where appropriate.
No warranty
NerdBot is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate. To the extent allowed by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim relating to NerdBot is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Termination
You can stop using NerdBot any time, and delete your account and data from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — like intellectual property, no warranty, and governing law — continue to apply after your account ends.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of NerdBot will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, and you consent to that jurisdiction, except where local law requires otherwise (for example, certain consumer-protection rights that can't be waived by contract).
Changes
We may update these terms or the product itself over time. Material changes to these terms will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use NerdBot after a change means you accept the updated terms.
